What it is
There are housing schemes that give financial help to build a pucca house in rural areas. Which scheme you can apply under, the eligibility and how beneficiaries are selected depend on the scheme and the Government's current instructions; selection is usually from a list and with the Gram Sabha's approval.

- Copies of identity and residence proof
- Papers showing ownership or the right to use the plot (as per the scheme)
- Bank account details (so that the benefit can be credited)
How to apply
- Check at the Gram Panchayat office or on the official scheme page which housing scheme is open and its eligibility.
- Fill in the form, submit it at the office and take an acknowledgement.
- Check at the Gram Sabha or the Gram Panchayat whether your name is in the beneficiary list.
